When the more you take a deep breath, the more you feel suffocated.
Breath·ing /ˈbrēT͟HiNG/ : (n) the process of taking air into and expelling it from the lungs.
We always be taught to take a deep breath whenever we feel we suffocate. I remember my PE teacher would always told me to took a deep breath if I was out of breath after a run.
I used to think breathing will always help me to calm myself. To swipe away all the anxiety of the feelings not getting enough air. To turn off the panic in my head that I’m going to die. It’s not always working that way.
Sometimes I couldn’t breath. My chest felt heavy, it’s like I’m drowning — deep, deep, into the sea. I was breathing but I couldn’t feel air in my lungs. It was suffocating.
Then, I took a deep breath. But, all I can felt was tears falling down on my cheeks. Yet, I still feel suffocated. Why is it not working?
My mouth open, but my voice won’t came out. Only tears rolling down to the ground. My head hurted so much. I was breathing, but I was out of breath. The more air I gasped, the more my chest felt heavy and stuffy.
